While other companies might gather hair from a mishmash of sources or even from clogged drains (yikes!), we take pride in our commitment to single donor integrity. Each package of Philocaly hair extensions is ethically gathered from one amazing person. Not only does this give our hair extensions natural flow and movement, but it also means zero tangling and matting (hallelujah). You deserve the best, and we're here to deliver it!

Say hello to Philocaly's Recycling Program, where your pre-loved hair extensions become superheroes in the fight against oil spills! 

Did you know that hair has a special talent for absorbing oil? It's true! Hair is known for its exceptional ability to absorb oil, making it an ideal material for creating specialized mats that effectively soak up oil spills. The donated hair extensions are repurposed into these mats, which are then deployed in areas affected.

At Philocaly Hair, we recognize the urgency of addressing this issue, which is why we have partnered with the Matter of Trust Program's Clean Wave Campaign, which focuses on waste fibre recycling and raising awareness about the environmental impact of oil spills.

By donating your extensions, you actively contribute to cleanup efforts and help mitigate the devastating effects of oil spills on our precious ecosystems.

How do I recycle my Philocaly hair extensions? 

It's a simple and straightforward process! Instead of discarding your unwanted extensions, follow these easy steps to contribute to the cause. 

• First, snip off the extension portion from your hair extensions, such as the tabs from tape-ins, the bonds from keratin tips, or wefts from hand-tied, flat wefts, and clip-ins. This step ensures that only the hair part is donated for recycling.
• Philocaly Hair prefers to receive hair extensions back in bulk. If you're a stylist and have accumulated enough hair to fill a shoebox, you can request a prepaid return shipping label by contacting hello@philocalyhair.com. Once you receive the shipping label, neatly package the hair extensions and affix the label to the outside of the package. Drop off the package at the post office, and it will be sent to Philocaly Hair's head office. Easy-peasy!
• Upon receiving the hair extensions, Philocaly Hair will forward them to the Clean Wave Campaign, where they will be transformed into hair mats.
• And for our lovely clients, you can also donate your hair directly to our Philocaly Verified Stylists. It's a fantastic way to get involved in the recycling initiative and support your local stylists in making a difference.
