How Are Tape-In Hair Extensions Applied?

The application process for tapes is done by placing two hair extensions onto each other with your natural hair in between. This technique is called the “sandwich” technique. Tape extensions take approximately 30-45 minutes for a full application – Seriously that’s it! This method is very affordable. On average stylists charge $150 for installation in Canada. The reason it is so affordable is because of how quick the application takes. Tape-in hair extensions can also be reused and moved up. Therefore, you don’t constantly have to be buying new hair like other extension application methods in the market. 

How Long Do Tape-In Hair Extensions Stay In?

Tape in hair extensions are applied close to the scalp. As your hair grows out, so will the tape bonds. On average you should have your tapes moved up every 6-8 weeks by a stylist.
